Pro-Tek Vision : Windshield & Window Glass
Product: German technology brought into India for the first time by The Bike & Car Salon. Technology is a special non hazardous and bio degradable chemical that bonds with the glass at a molecular level. The chemical fuses and becomes part of the glass itself and does not create a film or a laminate of any kind that can be removed or can succumb to the wear and tear whilst usage of wiper. It cannot be removed but gradually wears off on usage.
Result: Treatment on the windshield and windows impacts better and improved visibility to the driver whilst driving at high speeds and passengers during heavy rains. “Pro-Tek Vision” does not substitute the usage of wiper during heavy rains but the treatment reduces the dependency on the wipers considerably. Silicone based products are made up of small pre-polymers of silicone that are co-reacted with organic materials to form polymeric films linking together many of these units. Yet, once the organic binders are oxidized, the silicone backbone decomposes at the surface leaving an inorganic siliceous (silicate-like) residue. If the film undergoes premature break-breakdown due to exposure to moderately alkaline materials like some kinds of road grime (with a ph of 9 or greater) or more acidic pollutants like acid rain (ph of 3 or lower), the silicone resins will migrate from the finish making for incomplete protection and difficult removal. Regardless of how well maintained or how often the surface is cleaned, eventually the organic binder will oxidize due to UV exposure. Hence the need for periodic reapplications every 4 to 6 months.
Ionic and Static Charge Attractions
Non-polymer, non-organic type products usually exist as crystalline structures (e.g. salts or silicates) and are held together and crystallize on the surface by ionic bonding forces, a weaker type of bond. While initially capable of maintaining continuous films, these forces are not strong enough to prevent re-crystallization of the silicate upon exposure to water and moisture. The time taken on each vehicle is approximately between 4-6 hours, subject to the size & condition of the vehicle. We are equipped to detail between four - five vehicles per day in terms of staff strength, machines & products. We come to you, either at your office or residential premises.
